TalkLove Africa set to provide Free Digital Skills to 400 Women in Rivers State.

TalkLove Africa Foundation, a non-governmental organization committed to promoting the empowerment of women and children, is set to empower 400 rural women and girls across different communities in Rivers State by providing a free digital skills training.

The training which is to be implemented by Talklove Africa Foundation with support from European Union, is targeted at women and girls in the rural communities between the ages of 18 to 40. This was made known following an intensive stakeholder engagement with the community leaders of Eliozu Community which is one of the target communities.

The Community Head of Eliozu community, Chief Dr. Emeka Orlu, expressed his appreciation to the organization for extending the initiative to his community and promised to assist in areas where their capacities is needed. Other Chiefs who were present at the event also showed their support for the project, noting that it aligns with their developmental efforts in the community. They also pledged to work with TalkLove Africa Foundation to ensure the successful implementation of the project in the community.

During the engagement, parties present discussed the project's objectives, strategies, and expected outcomes. They also exchanged ideas on how to ensure effective implementation of the project in Eliozu, including the involvement of women and girls of the communties and the establishment of partnerships with relevant stakeholders.

The provision of free digital skills training by Talklove Africa Foundation will, therefore, ignite a huge sense of hope among women and girls in Eliozu community, who now have an opportunity to acquire marketable tech skills that can help to bridge the economic gap.
